Pacific Coast Counselling was born from a dream to provide professional and accessible counselling services to those in need of mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational help, regardless of their financial situation. For the past 17 years, we have been providing professional counselling services through our subsidy counselling program to individuals, couples, children and families in the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver area who have faced barriers to receiving help with the mental health and relational challenges they’re facing.
Your financial support can ensure our continued ability to provide these vital counselling services and continue to meet our aim to provide a caring and compassionate place where people can access professional and high-quality support.
Pacific Coast Counselling is a Registered Canadian Charity and all donations are tax deductible.
During this year we’ve seen the need for emotional and mental health services in our community continue to increase as we have served new families, couples, and individuals. As a team we’ve provided over 2600 hours of counselling services. People have come to our office and sought help for various struggles such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and marital conflict with the focus inevitably coming back to their connections. Creating better connection is at the heart of the matter of mental and emotional health and what we do at Pacific Coast Counselling.
One of the significant ways that we can help people improve their connection with themselves and in their most important relationships is make mental health counselling services more accessible to those in our community who face financial barriers to accessing it. We’ve seen with countless clients that when counselling is accessible the impact extends beyond the individual; it has the power to strengthen and foster the well-being of marriages, friendships, and the future trajectory of entire families.
This Christmas season our goal is to raise $3,000 to serve 200 new families, couples, & individuals in 2024 and continue the important work of providing a place for healing, growth, and change through our subsidy counselling program to those families in Langley and the Fraser Valley area where financial means is a barrier to accessing this type of support.
